This a note to the few of you who've been generous enough with your time to check back periodically for updates. Well, at long last your efforts shall soon be rewarded.

I'm tearing down the house, gang. And I'm gonna build a bigger and better one in her place. AND all this with weekly updates. No, really. Stop laughing. It's not nice.

Uh... I know this guy. He was one of my roomates during my senior year at Tulane. Apparently, in the time that I've seen him last he has gone absolutely insane. My college friends are hella crazy.

My roommates have been gone all week and I'm beginning to forget what talking to people is like. Time to head into the city, I think. So tonight I'm checking out two group show art openings, where my uber-talented friends (Reuben Negron & Yuko Shimizu, respectively) have work on display:

Both Sketchboook and Illustration pages have added content. It's work from about a year ago. Some of it still holds up, which is comforting since I haven't done any new work in recent weeks. That'll change soon.

Kingbennie.com is now operational in all of its slipshod, mundane glory. She's still a little rough around the edges and a little bit jealous of the other, prettier websites out there. So be gentle.

Our first barbecue this summer was a success! Thanks to everyone who made it out...

Tonight could have gone badly. I ought to have been painting. Instead, of course, I let my pal Reuben talk me into accompanying him and some friends into checking out a club that was way too expensive, way too "classy" for the likes of my broke-ass self. After a few hours and a few too many dollars, Reuben has left with his girlfriend. Normally, this act would reek of I-have-a-girlfriend-and-am-now-dissing-you-to-go-home-and-get-some, like it always does. I didn't notice though because I was dancing with some girl from Canada.
